Dear Burchmore family descendants,
Greetings on the 160 th Anniversary of our pioneer forebears’ arrival at Port Jackson. We all owe William and Emma Burchmore a resounding hip, hip, hooray!
This annual email affords all of us access to our genealogy on the Burchmore side which we trust you and yours are finding of interest, if not compelling!
At the least it will provide answers to your youngsters when they start thinking about their roots.
You will find the latest genealogical updates( thanks to cousin Terence A Walsh and to each of you who sent data to Noel)- still with some missing b,d and m’s of our less interested relatives.
For old times sake, we have attached the reunion picture taken at Gunnamatta Bay in 1992, together with some notes on our grandparents, George and Alice and their immediate family.

Sadly, we have to acknowledge the passing of James R. Burchmore , our oldest surviving cousin on 22/11/2011. Jim was 92 and lived at Wollongong with his wife of 67 years. Just as sadly, Betty 87, died just 3 months later.

As we said last time, we are urging everyone to know, to honour and respect the heritage of those whose adventuresome spirit helped build the Australia of today. To that end, we will continue hitting the SEND button on 25 May and trust that you keep adding e-mail addresses so that , in time, the mailing list eventually captures each and every one of us for that one date each year.

Cheers,
From Ken and Noel.
