Dear Cousins, Nieces and Nephews,
On this day once every year we pause to think of our ancestors who came to NSW in 1852 and in order to reach more of the descendants of the Sydney branch of George and Alice Maud Mary, we are today launching BURCHMORE.NET.
Initially the website will concentrate on our roots, ancestors and stories about past generations and in this regard we ask for your contribution. Anything that you might have on the life of George and Alice’s immediate family-from their first born in 1886 through the last sibling’s death in1988-will be most welcome additions. As the content grows, other grandparent lines and the doings of successive generations, including contemporaries will all be covered.
We close this note with a treasured photo c1985 taken with our late brother Jack when we were in our oyster- eating prime.
