May 25th, 2014 162nd Anniversary Message
As we pause on this day to remember our ancestors’ emigration to what was then The Colony of New South Wales we invite your interest in adding to the family archives that may in some small way benefit future generations.
This year we build on Burchmore.net in several ways:
-Adding the Burchmore bash 15th November 1992 video and identifying as many as we can who attended that Gunnamatta Park picnic.
-Adding the ancestries of other grandparent lines.
-More Family Stories and Family Pictures preserving old memories.
We continue to encourage all relatives to contribute stories about their own families and most importantly, by adding younger family members to our mailing list.

Notable Achievements
We celebrated the 100th Birthday of Jean Watts on 22 January 2014, thus being the very first centenarian in our extended family. Jean is the granddaughter of Jane Carnaby Hutton, who married Robert Harrower, the same grandparents shared by Jack, Ken, and Noel and many others who attended the 1992 family gathering.
Our long-time celebrity niece, Rhonda was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2014 (the eleventy-first anniversary of our mother’s birth) at an investiture at Government House, Canberra “For service to the Performing Arts and to the Community”: she is now known as Rhonda Burchmore OAM.
Hearty Congratulations to you both from all of your admiring relatives!
